Elena von Elson is a gorgeous 12 month old black German Shepherd. This cheery pup with the swipe of white on her heart is happiest when she is with her people. Elena bounces out of her kennel excitedly, but calms down with correction. She has improved significantly with her leash manners, walking like a lady and listening intently to you. Elena’s tail wags all day everyday, and she is very interested in meeting other dogs on walks. She says hi to them happily, and although sometimes she might be a little pushy, if they are tolerant with her she walks wonderfully next to them. Elena is a mid to high energy pup, and a smart one too! In her short stint at Westside she has already learnt to walk well on leash, as well as the commands “yes,” “sit,” and “stay.” Imagine what she could learn in the free training class that comes with her adoption! Elena is a big sweetie pie who could cuddle with you all day: she is very submissive towards her humans, and is so eager to please. Although she can be dominant with her furry friends, she loves to roughhouse and is drawn towards other active dogs like herself. Elena entered her playgroup a little stiff, but she always listened to any corrections we gave her. When she got comfortable she ended up splashing around the doggie pool with her newly-made friends. Elena loves water, but what she really wants is a comfy home where she can show you how much she loves you.
